I try to eat healthy. But sometimes I just don’t have enough time and eat at fast food places. What are some healthy choices I can go for? from any place…. thanks

Taco Bell has a fresco menu now. I am on Weight Watchers and we are allowed to eat off that. If you get a salad anywhere, just get the fat free dressing. At Wendy’s you can get a grilled chicken sandwich and a baked potato and salad. Sonic has a grilled chicken wrap thats good. Thats just where I go when I’m on the run. It is soo hard to eat right tho when you have all of those options with fast food. Just try and be strong and don’t think you’re missing out! Good Luck

Your goal is to have protein, carbohydrate, vegetable and as little fat as possible.

At most fast foods, the best you can do is a fish sandwich or a chicken sandwich prepared as they usually do with a coating and fried. You then want to ask for lettuce and tomato and you want to skip the mayonnaise.

Have a glass of skim milk with it or low fat milk.

Finish with an apple or some other piece of fruit if available.

The salads with little or no dressing. If the salad comes with chicken opt for grilled rather than fried. Go for grilled chicken sandwiches. Get water for a drink, it is healthier and will save you some money. Some places such as McDonalds and Wendy’s also offer fruit. Instead of getting fries get a side of fruit instead.

If you can’t avoid fast food all together, you should at least go for smaller portions. If I have to eat fast food, I always get a kids meal. You’ll be satisfied, won’t over-eat, plus you’ll usually get a bonus toy!

Things that you’d think are healthy (salads, chicken sandwiches) can sometimes have even more calories. Eat what tastes good, but eat only a little bit. And always get the diet soda.

salads are healthy. plus Taco bell has that new healthy cheap menu now. I can’t remember what it’s called but look it up. it might help you with your decision making.
