Is it normal for person 60 lbs+ overweight to lose a lot of weight at the start of a healthy diet?
Danielle L asked:
I’m currently a teen who is 65 lbs overweight and is trying to reach a healthy and maintainable body weight. I’ve been eating a healthy diet of about 1400 cals/day and have been exercising half an hour daily and walking more. I have noticed that I have been losing up to 4 lbs in just 3 days. Is it normal and safe to lose this much weight at the beginning of a diet, or should i be doing something differently?

definately.
youll drop the pounds quickly at first then it will start to slow down. but dont get discouraged when it starts to slow down just keep up the healthly lifestyle and the pounds will keep coming off naturally.
Its definitely normal. And good for you thats really awesome! Its not unhealthy what so ever, it will be very fast at first but then your body will get used to it and plateau a little bit and you should eventually get to where you are losing about a pound a week which is very healthy. Keep up the good work!
Good luck!
