How can i maintain a healthy diet?

Right now pretty much all i eat is junk food. Besides what my mom makes for me. I mean im naturally thin, i dont really need to worry about my weight, but i want ot maintain a healthy diet. So i can be healthy all around. How can i do this????????/

slow an steady wins the race! start adding more fruits and veggies to your diet and whole grain foods. for example when you want to snack on chips try grabbing an apple or a favorite portable fruit that you prefer. its great that you have good genes (you can thank your mom/dad for your natural thiness) but even with good genes–a consistent intake of high fat foods can cause damage to your arteries and heart over time(yucky nasty plaque!!!); so be care ful with the chips..dont cut the junk out completely..just eat less of it. :)

Be aware of the food you eat, and when you’re thinking of eating, try to think of what you could eat that came from a plant. It should be as close to the way it grew as it can be when you eat it. For example, salad with lots of veggies is good, crackers made from processed white flour and crisco is bad :) The problem with our modern diets is that it’s easy and quick to eat crackers, chips, cookies, etc. and it doesn’t feel as convenient to make a salad or eat some fruit instead. You just have to be aware of what you’re eating and be careful when it comes to eating things that come in a cellophane bag or in a box :)

Have more fruit on hand, like grapes or apples or bananas or oranges. Those are good for snacks.

Not into fruit? Try microwave popcorn, wheat thins, or other such relatively healthy alternatives for snacks.
